“Our passion is to provide equal exchange between farmers and the final consumer.”
In our tiny factory, DWF transforms Ghana cocoa beans into delicious craft chocolate, as well as other derivative of the cocoa beans (cocoa nibs, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, cacao powder)
DWF started with the desire to help aging parents make both ends meet from their cocoa production. Most cocoa farmers families live on average $2.20 per day per person especially in west Africa and Ghana is not an exception. The desire to make a difference in this common condition for most cocoa farmers led to research on how to make chocolate and stumbled into Ecole Chocolat an online Chocolate Making School in 2017 September and enrolled for the “Chocolate Making, from the bean to bar” program.
In 2018 summer went to work on the cacao farm in Ghana and experience cacao production through pre and post harvest process that ensure beans quality.
Later in 2019 had hands on training at Cacao Salon Afuku with owner Mrs Aizawa in Tokyo, learning new ways of beans roasting to enhance the flavor of the chocolate as well as tempering chocolates.
Today our nibs are also used by our partner Chocolate makers ( Cacao Salon-Afuku, CacaoriKaori) supporting this project to make exceptionally delicious chocolates.
We strive to always make our customers feel special, “Always a darling “.
